The Bangladeshi market historically held the position of the largest buyer of Brazilian apples, a title it maintained until the opening of the Indian market, which eventually took the lead in import volume. Even so, Bangladesh remains an extremely important destination for Brazilian growers, especially due to the specific fruit profile demanded by the region.

Between September 7th and 11th, we conducted a business mission to Bangladesh, accompanied by our leading Brazilian apple producers. The primary goal of this trip was to reconnect with the local market after a two-year period in which Brazil faced low fruit availability to serve the country at competitive prices.

The visit was highly productive. We held strategic meetings with several clients in the Dhaka and Chittagong markets, alongside an official institutional visit to the Brazilian Embassy in Bangladesh. This opportunity was essential to realign expectations and fully understand the market shifts that occurred over the last two years. Given the current scenario, we project excellent business and promising years ahead for our partnership with Bangladesh in the near future. P.S. Thank you very much to the agricultural attaché's office of the Ministry of Agriculture at the Embassy of Brazil in Bangladesh, Mr Silvio Testaseca
